Do you have a health problem? Are you uncomfortable? Do you wish you could feel better? Do you where you went wrong? I may have some answers for you. It's something called a Subluxation. Maybe you've never heard of subluxations. That's OK. There was probably a time when you'd never heard of AIDS or Alzheimer's.
You have more than 200 bones in your body. Whenever two bones come together at a joint, there can be movement. Since joints in your spine are so close to your spinal cord and nerve roots, too much or too little joint motion can have serious effects. If the spinal bones get “stuck” and don't move right, they can chafe delicate nerves. If the joint moves too much, it can press against adjacent nerve tissue. This can interfere with the vital “life force” transmitted over your nervous system that helps keep your brain in touch with your body. The result is called a subluxation. This involves misaligned bones interfering with nerves. It also involves muscles becoming too tight or weak, discs, ligaments, or other connective tissue can become inflamed. Bone spurs, and arthritic degeneration can set in.
Subluxations are serious! The most important aspect of subluxations is its effect on your nervous system. Compromising the way your nervous system controls and regulates your body can have grave consequences. Distorted communications between your brain and your body can cause all kinds of health problems beyond just headaches and backaches. Your nervous system is like an information highway between your brain and body. Your entire life and functioning depends on this highway between your brain and body working properly. Like a cell phone that disconnects, a subluxation may cause your brain and body to lose vital communications. As your chiropractor, I am the only health professional that is licensed and trained to detect, reduce, and prevent spinal subluxations.
The focus of traditional health care is on germs and blood. Chiropractic is different. Chiropractic produces results by helping your nervous system work the way it should.
